Lieven Baes (Perk, 1980) studied animation and comics at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels. In the comics studio, he trained with Marnix Verduyn (Nix) and Johan De Moor.
His animated films were selected internationally, including for the Holland Animation Film Festival and the International Film Festival Rotterdam. With the comics studio, he took part in exhibitions at Galerie Lambiek in Amsterdam and at the comics festival in Angoulême.
He co-authored the comic book BruXXXel. His work later appeared in Knack Focus and Le Vif, and he collaborated with writers including Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer, Rob van Essen and Lize Spit.
Alongside his artistic practice, Lieven built a career as a creative director, including at DPG Media and Van der Valk Hotels.
